Tracking Devices - Which is Best ?

I am thinking about fitting a tracking device to my pride and joy, but would like to hear peoples view on which one is best, all the advertisments obviously say that thiers is the one to go for. But which really is, I am stumped between the Phanton and the RAC Trackstar.

We had a Phantom Pro fitted to our new van earlier this year.

When I called Phantom with a technical query before ordering my enquiry was dealt with quickly and in fact the person I spoke too said he was dissapointed that I couldn't find anything more challenging for him to answer. That made a refreshing change from the frequent situation where sales department staff seem to know nothing about their product. That inspired confidence right from the start.

Although it has not been put to the test yet (thank goodness) we did have a couple of false alerts when I accidently set off the alarm.

The response from the call centre was very prompt and my apology for wasting their time was treated with good humour.

So far we have been very impressed.

I think the origianl Tracher is best as you can pay a one off life time fee instead of having to pay a lump sum every year or bi-annually. Ttoal cost including fitting and life time subscription about

I have phantom fitted with the silent movement alarm which they monitor, I can only agree with Clarky the response time is brilliant on the odd occasions I have forgotten to switch it off before moving I haven`t got half a mile before they are ringing me to check if I am with the van.

I have also been invited to give them a ring when I reached my destination just to check the thing works.

I have never compared prices but am more than happy with phantom.
