Truma heater I have a problem with my 5 speed blower. The blower will only run on the low setting. Looking for some ideas how I can sort this out thanks
2009 modelHi the caravan is a coachman 545vip not sure what truma model it is but it has a 5 speed fan setting on the right hand side of it and on the left the gas settings with a manual ignition button. Yes I'm ehu
The blower will only run on the low setting.
my Thetford fridge works on gas but keeps going out
The pilot light goes out then the igniter starts clicking to restart it. When it doesn't restart error code 9 come upWhen you say "keeps going out" - what goes out? The burner or the pilot light?
Sorted now it was a faulty gas regulator giving out low gas pressure thank for your helpAs you will see from other threads, the actual gas appliances are not 'serviced ' during a normal caravan service. They will do a function test , but will not dismantle and service the individual appliance's unless you specifically demand it, and of course there is a cost to this.
Especially with the problem you have with the fridge, there is s possibility the burner inside the fridge may not be burning cleanly, and that will means its producing more Carbon Monoxide ( the silent killer) than its allowed to. If the fridge vents are working correctly and the fridge has been there should be no real danger, but if the vents aren't correctly set there is a serious risk that the exhausts CO might enter the caravan's living space.
You should really get the all the gas applainces properly checked for your safety.
It will be ok to use the fridge on mains power as long as the gas isolation valve is turned off.
If your regulator was giving out such low pressure it could not sustain a flame on a fridge burner, you would have noticed very poor performance on all your other gas applainces.Sorted now it was a faulty gas regulator giving out low gas pressure thank for your help
It sounds a bit like the regulator contamination problem - where material leaches from the high-pressure pipe between the cylinder and regulator and then drains into the regulator. If your regulator was giving out such low pressure it could not sustain a flame on a fridge burner, you would have noticed very poor performance on all your other gas applainces.
Please tell us how you established it was the regulator?
But if it was sufficient to cause a problem for a low powered burner such as that in a fridge, it would have had a major effect on other more powerful burners. The OP has not mentioned such a problem. It sounds a bit like the regulator contamination problem - where material leaches from the high-pressure pipe between the cylinder and regulator and then drains into the regulator.
If this is the cause, as well as replacing the regulator, the high pressure hoses need to be re-routed so they drain back into the cylinder, not the regulator.
I looked on you tube and did a cooker test turned 1 on then 2 and the flames reduced then put 3 on and there was hardly any flame at all so it had to be the regularIf your regulator was giving out such low pressure it could not sustain a flame on a fridge burner, you would have noticed very poor performance on all your other gas applainces.
