truma ultrastore keeps tripping

Hi all, recently while on site the truma ultraheat kept tripping the post, the hookup was 18 amp and the tank was full of water is there a fault with the heater?

If it is still under some warranty, yes,

In the meantime, if you want hot water, use gas.
Remove the outer cover first or the gas will not work.

thing is i cannot get the outer cover off with much tugging and pulling no luck.

Depending on how old your van is:
If older than the last couple of years there will be, on the top edge of the cover, in the centre, there wil be two tabs, one either side of a square , ad on the front just below that a square embossed mark which you use both thumbs to push IN as you also pull the cover off by the sides.
Sometimes they can be stuck to the masic around the flue.
Use a small screwdriver to ease the tabs upwards, then pull the cover off.

If a new van, then the cover will be smooth and shiny with a pull recess under the lower edge.
Push downwards on the top edge as you pull the lower edge outwards.
