Twin Electrics - newbie help

HI, I have a tow bar fitted with twin electrics same as my caravan. I’ve checked all the lights and they work fine except the reverse light. Now as I understand it this is powered by the grey lead - is there anything the grey lead should do that would tell me that it is working properly? I know that the reverse light was working last when connected to another vehicle!

If the van reverse light worked on another vehicle but not on yours, the first pace to look is the 12s socket on your car.
