Tyre wear on SAAB 9-3 2.2 TiD

I put a new set of front tyres on my SAAB in Feb. 08 I have driven 14000 miles since then including 4500 towing & they have both worn down on the outer edges. Tracking & pressures are OK. My Garage tells me this is a fault with the 9-3 2.2 TiDs. Has any body else had a similar experience?. Any remidies except change the car.

I had the same problem with my V70 . The advice give was to ease of the right foot when mooving off. and it has worked.
