Unwanted pop ups and advertising links

HELP!!!
I'm being driven crackers with these pesky things.
I have same problems with IE, Chrome and Forefox. Every time I click on a wanted link or open a new tab I have to close many adverts, some attempt to open new tabs
Last few days i have many words on most sites underlined with a link to a shopping site

Any advise greatfully received.

hi Brum, I dont use Chrome, but firefox has a add-on that blocks all ads and pop-ups, been using it for quite a while now without any problems, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

If you have got adverts wanting to open new tab's you have got some malware loaded & that is causing the problem they need to be removed.... only the other night i downloaded a program admited i was a bit tired & in sneeked a program that was trying to divert us to another search engine, it took quite a while to remove it, but the next day up it popped on the wifes settings... now back to normal service....with the help of the Malwarebytes pro version ....
