Beware that despite the garden voucher scheme website showing which type of voucher individual centres accept it’s not up to date. Today I travelled 24 miles round trip to shop at a charity garden Center. The items came to £53 and I offered my gift voucher details that had been received electronically and printed. They were not accepted. So instead I offered the e voucher on the phone. Not accepted. All they would accept were conventional plastic garden gift cards. The reason given that paper or phone ones are being fraudulently used. But plastic gift card vouchers don’t survive too well in the post so the recipient looses out. The annoying thing is that the garden voucher give scheme website shows the particular centre I used as accepting all three types of cards. Now my end of month account juggling gets harder as I’ve spent £53 unplanned. 😢. Going back to groats and farthings in future.
