Vauxhall Insignia

Have had a look at one in the showroom - very nice. Although they have a 2.0 diesel it seems the only 4x4 versions are powered by the 2.8 lit petrol. The 2.8 also has a good kerb weight. From my point of view I wish they had a 3.0 lit V6 diesel (as per the Vectra) plus 4x4 which would have been perfect.

A 2.0 190PS biturbo diesel 4x4 Insignia will become available this summer (if Vauxhall/Opel don't go bust in the meantime).

BUMP!

Was overtaken by the hatchback version of this the other day, it looks amazing.

Is anyone able to update on its towing prowess or otherwise?

Its available with 30% down and 3 years 0% finance at the moment, am sorely tempted but it might be a sheep in wolf's clothing....

The estate version of the Insignia, whatever they call it, isn't as big as the outgoing Vectra estate which had a longer wheelbase than it's saloon/hatch counterpart.

Why hasn't PC Magazine done a towing test - isn't that what magazines are for?

With all the electronic toys on the Insignia I expect it will be a complete nightmare, I wish we had bought a 10-15yr old landcruiser/shogun instead of a new car, it would be cheaper to run and a lot more reliable.

A guy down the road has just got one as a company car, quite a nice looking car,he has a diesel and it sounds like a tin of nails,i thought diesels were supposed to be getting quieter?
