YesAs it is an Elddis it is probably on a BPW chassis?
I have looked at paper work it has a winterhoff WS3000. If the ball has grease on the ball and the hitch has friction plates could this cause a problemThis might help you,
Tow hitch
Wot is DMF as car is a manualIf manual DMF could be a possibility when under extra load
Don't think car has one as to old but not sureDual Mass Flywheel. The first signed when failing is vibration
I am not sure it would cause the vibration, but the tow ball should be grease and paint free, clean both the tow ball and hitch with , a degreaser, brake cleaner is good.Yes

Don't diesel twin clutch synchro gearboxes have a DMF then? If they don't my VAG independent needs retrainingIf manual DMF could be a possibility when under extra load
Fred Drift is booking in folks, , just that I know. Nothing about DMF'sDon't diesel twin clutch synchro gearboxes have a DMF then? If they don't my VAG independent needs retraining![]()
A DMF could well be responsible for vibrations under load. All I know about the car is that it's a 2012 Nissan X trail and it is manual. So don't rule out a DMF as an option until you know for certain that the car doesn't have one. But by 2012 DMFs were well established fitments in cars, and some petrol and diesels X trails had them.Fred Drift is booking in folks, , just that I know. Nothing about DMF's
The car is a 2012 2.0 diesel x trail, I don't know wot a DMF is so can't say if it has one or not. But I have just taken it to try again with it empty and still the vibration is still there not as bad, I will be changing the tyres this week and going to get the car suspension looked at just to make sure that is all good.A DMF could well be responsible for vibrations under load. Hope that the simple steps outline resolve your vibration issue. 🤞The car is a 2012 2.0 diesel x trail, I don't know wot a DMF is so can't say if it has one or not. On thought does the car need tyre pressures changed when towing.Hope that the simple steps outline resolve your vibration issue. 🤞
