Does anyone drive a Volvo V70 D5 Auto (Geartronic). Went for a test drive in one yesterday,(04 plate) and was impressed with it, but i'm just a bit unsure about the auto gearbox,

After you've towed with an automatic, you'll never go back to a manual.

General driving - easier

Stop start driving - much easier

Manoeuvring - easier

Hill starts - much easier

Fuel economy - same or a bit worse - my E-class with the V6 CDI engine and 7 speed G-Tronic gearbox is more efficient than the manual (if you could find one)

Hi

I drive an XC70 with the D5 Geartronic and have never had any problems. For the first few weeks I used to play with the manual gearbox part but rarely do that nowadays, except for long slogs uphill or going down long hills.
 
Looks like it won't be happening for a while now anyway. The trade in price for my CRV was a joke, i'm better off keeping it a while longer and keep saving the pennies.

I'll definatley consider the Auto when it comes to the next car though,
