Mike, we had a Volvo S60 D5 which we used to tow our Eccles Topaz (MTPLM 1318kg) - the car was great, enough torque and power to provide easy and stable towing. We've now moved on to the V70 D5 AWD which provides the same towing capability but more practical luggage space and better traction on grass. Have fun, Simon

Hi Simon

We have the same car as you and we too are delighted with the V70 as both a towing car and for luggage space. We are having 3 weeks in france in July with our new abbey adventura 317 which we collect at the begining of June. We will literally be able to take everything but the kitchen sink! Weight allowed that is! I am just thinking of all the red wine we can bring back!!

hic!

Hi Mike,

I have just sent an S60 d5 back to the lease company. It towed our 2004 Eccles Emerald with ease and felt it could easily manage a bigger van.

It was fitted with the firmer sports suspension and had some kind of self levelling system on it.

Nice motors!
