At present, we are seasonalish. By that I mean we book in advance and the van is put on the pitch ready for us. Fees seem reasonable. £8 per month storage, £25 for hard standing pitch including electrics. £10 to pitch and return the van.

We are looking at moving it closer to home and onto a proper seasonal pitch if one becomes available.

£2250 per year. Plus metered electricity, no booking, just turn up.

Compare that to my (richer) brother. £60,000 for a 2 year old static near Caernarfon North Wales. The site and his pitch look fantastic and he loves it. He also pays about £5,000 per year. He has offered it to us and we will take that up some time.

Another advantage of using a tourer is they are a lot easier to move if needed.

We went seasonal not because of the towing which was fine, but all the prep beforehand and the setting up and packing up. Too old for all that now. Keep things simple.

If you are looking for somewhere nearer how about Ludlow?

This site is now Seasonal only. A shame but I can understand why.

We had a great Woosie Fest there years ago.👍👍

I suppose £1000 per week is to be expected in August. Some caravan sites are also quite high in August so probably not much of a difference.
At our site for two Adults and a handstanding /grass ehu is £40 per night so for a week that £280 that a good saving (y)

If we ever went seasonal, we would prefer to be not far from the sea.
We were looking at seasonal site at Whitby and a fully service hardstanding pitches the outlook was looking out to the sea we got the prices and it was nearly double to what we are paying why we did not take it up because they do not allow dogs .

Have you taken into consideration the other costs i.e. annual payment for seasonal site, insurance and servicing for caravan, cost of EHU etc?

Divide your annual fee by 12 months to give you a better perspective of costs as it will be more than £280 per week. Probably closer to £400 per week. (y) :)
Who said anything about Seasonal i am on about customers who come to stop for a week in August for two adults on a fully hardstanding pitch /grass with electric hook up in a touring caravan per night is £40 = £280 for a week (y)
