Great CV there, sad someone lost their job,sad at all the brown nosing going on and i have HND's,C & G's and have forgotten more than most folk know.I am now working towards my Bsc in Engineering... a bit late but there you go....i was a machine operator many years ago and ran the D.O and Programming office on the very first Machining centre the company bought way back in 1982...Although i had completed a 5 years apprenticeship in Milling ,Turning and Grinding.( i once had to produce a 3 start trapezoidal thread for a machine lead screw that was 5' long and done manually...those skils have now been lost imafraid.)
We had to self teach programming and used punched tape.
I have moved around a bit then designing and building incineration plant, off shore waste heat exchangers, onshore glycol plants, even designing inkjet coders for printing sell by dates on tubs of marg,, developed Lean systems,Kaizen Philosophies,Six Sigma etc,but i would never be a machine operator or cnc programmer again, there is simply not enough to do its lost all the skills sets that we had.
When was the last time you saw an operator setting up a dividing head and calculating the pitches?
