Weather in France

Looking at forecasts on internet it seems France in general are having the same weather as we are! Anyone just come back and can update on just what was it like.... We are leaving for Landes at the weekend so info on this area would be appreciated.

Geoff, the BBC 5 day forecast for Bordeaux is sunny every day with highest day time temp 36deg and lowest 25deg. I go to landes most years and the weather is invariably good. Ray

The past few days here in the Loire have been hot! Last night saw a HUGE storm and the weather broke. It's now raining again but warm. Set to get fair again from tomorrow (20's).

Don't read everything and take it as gospel. Even the French Previsionistes get it wrong!

Brittany is well known for the wetness of their summers! Come prepared and you'll be fine.

Hi,

In answer to your question we returned from 3 weeks in Spain and France on Sat 14th. We spent 10 days in Spain near Sant Pere Pescador, 9 lovely sunny days only 1 wet day. Then up to Domain L'Eperviere, near Sennecy le Grand for 5 days, 1 good day, 4 days of heavy rain and low temperatures. Further north again to Chalon-en-Champagne and another two days of rain and low temperatures. The weather on the journey south at the start of the holiday was not great either.

On the return journey the weather was fine until we reached around Lyon, you could see the rain clouds building up from then on. The people on the next pitch to us at L'Eperviere told us when we arrived there it had rained every day for the previous week, they were due to stay another week but moved further south instead.

Enjoyed the holiday but the worst weather we have encountered in France in the 7 years we have been going. Can only get better hopefully.
