I can't have knowledge of all remote controls but most are always on. They sit in standby waiting for a button to be pressed then spring into life. I've never seen one that has a mechanical on/off switch to disconnect the battery. True the Powrtouch Motor Mover remote has a power button but I suspect this is the same. Just as my TV remote is.

All the remotes that we have had for MM only activated when a button was pressed so a little puzzled how a remote can be left switched on?
Emover remote has sliding switch so possible to get knocked on by mistake especially if thrown in glovebox.
The work pickup with crane remote has key switch plus sliding switch so crane is never activated by mistake. There is also key for crane power same as MM.
