i tow my caravan with a ford focus 1.8 tdci but find that i need a bit more power,i would like a car that looks like a four wheel drive but not four wheel drive i.e 2.0 ltr, any ideas thanks.

What's the point of a car that looks like a 4wd but isn't? You'd be better off with a 2wd car that looks like a 2wd car.

Many of the modern 4wd cars have part-time 4wd/2wd, in different forms.

Personally I prefer a car, well estate, that looks like 2wd but actually is 4wd.

hello michael we had a 2wd version of the nissan x trail it looked a 4x4 but was only 2wd didnt have 4wd at all good tug aswell 2.2 crtdi

If you want the higher driving position of a 4 X 4, but mostly two wheel drive, have a look at the Honda CR-V. Drives very much like a car, is fairly economical, reasonable tax band, and the 4 x 4 only kicks in when you need it

Had our CR-V 2.2 tdi for nearly a year just started towing which even in the strongest June winds was easy as it has trailer stability system as stardard on the Honda. Towing MPG 26 - 29(following wind) Solo 40 - 46 but thats with air-con turned off.
