Hi all

A Bailey Senator Wyoming towed with a Kia Sorento XT Auto or a Chrysler Grand Voyager (soon to be changed - probably for a Jeep Commander).

Previously Ranger 500/5 - soon to be Bailey Pageant Provence towed by a Terrano 2.7 TDI SE SWB - roll on March 07. Terrano very stable - absolutely no issues with towing over 2,000 miles last year - fuel consumption - well - only use it to tow the van then 25mpg average last year - secret is don't go over 2500 revs.

We will be towing with a Galaxy when we get back out. Used to tow with a Mondeo estate 130, so I'll be interested to see if I made the right choice.

Van is a Bailey Champaign.

Cheers for now

Hi Andy,

I tow a 2006 Abbey GTS Vogue (MTPLM 1417kg) with an Audi A6 Avant 1.9 TDI 110bhp

Haven't got a lot to compare it with as I haven't towed before but it seems very stable. Not had any problems even in high winds. However I wouldn't suggest towing anything heavier with the car as I think the engine would struggle.

Cheers

Steve

Hi.

I am about to take delivery of a bailey 470/4 and have a Octavia TDI and am very pleased with it. I used to tow a folding camper,so towing a caravan is new to me. Could any one advise me what the rear tyre pressures should be on the octavia. The info on the diesel cap says 3.3 which is 48 psi which seems very high to me.

Could anyone please advise

Thanks

Chris

We have just taken delivery of our first van, a Coachman Amara 550/5 (~1350 MIRO, 1550 MTPLM). We are pulling this with a VW 2002 Sharan 1.9TDi 15 hp(no engine tweak/mods/booster etc.

So far on the way back home from the dealer with the van on the back (distancae ~ 15 miles)with some hill starts at traffic lights, car pulls fine. When we have the van loaded up with all the stuff for our fist outing we expect to exceed 85% ratio by a small margin. I'll probably post a summary of my first ever adventure at a later date on a new thread somewhere.
