Hi BrianFound another one ;O)
Alan,Hi Emlyn
Sorry for the late reply, not been on the forum for a few days.
My CRV is not the 2007 version but it has the same engine and I guess the weight is similar to the new model.
I get approx 42 solo and 32 towing.
The solo figure reflects quite a lot of relatively short trips but I can get up to 48 on a decent run solo.
I got my CRV just prior to the launch of the new model and got quite a good bargain.
Only done 3.5K up to press and only 3 trips towing so I expect the figures to get a bit better once the engine has loosened up a bit.
I am very pleased with the car so far and I am looking forward to hols this year from Yorkshire down to Cornwall, Dorset, Wales etc.
Outfit is very stable on the motorway and crusing in 6th gear at 60 is a doddle.
I need to drop a gear or two on steep / long inclines but who dosent.
I would highly recommend the CRV.

you can stiffen up the rear suspension with gas matic shocks dont know what type will fit your car but i put spax ones on my mondeo witch were too soft for towing when turned up full i could stand on the tow ball and the suspension didnt move an im 15stone hope this helpsHi Andy,
I tow my abbey vogue gts 417 with my renault laguna 3lt V6 sports tourer ... dont even know its there unless i go over bumps. With tiptronic gearbox i use auto mode in traffic and manual mode on open road, reason being in auto she wants to stay in equivelent of 4th gear which returns 19 mpg, but on the flat in 5th(manual) she returns 26 mpg. Rear suspension is a bit soft so trying to figure a way of stiffing it up (not spring assistors).. perhaps i should feed it some viagra .. lol !
