What fridge ?

My son is faced with the need to replace his fridge in his Lunar Clubman.

The issue is failure of the motherboard in the fitted Thetford device.

Would you replace it with another Thetford, or a Dometic - and Why ?

I think Thetford do not supply the boards any more but there is a company that can repair them,

If you try to change the fridge to a different make or model, it may not fit.

Indde there is. However the cost of repair and having someone to remove the old one for repair and refitting it etc - with no garantee makes him thing that a new one is the best option.

Dometic then,or if he prefers Thetford a used one from a breakers may be cheaper as long as he gets the history of the broken caravan so fridge is almost new

I think that probably all that needs to be repaired is the PC board. This can be done by Apuljack. The cost to replace the fridge may be well over £1000 plus a fitting charge for gas connections.unless it buys one from a scrap merchant? However the fridge will probably not fit through the door and will need to taken out the front windows?
