May I offer you a belated welcome to the forum, and I hope that you will enjoy sharing tips and information here.
I've never tried commercially applied protection on any car or caravan but I use polish (as opposed to wax) sparingly to clear road grime that can't be removed through washing.
I apply Meguiars Deep Crystal 3 stage carnauba wax to keep a nice lasting shine on car and caravan after they have been washed using Fenwicks caravan shampoo.
The Meguiars Deep Crystal is easy to apply and doesn't leave a dusty residue when buffed up with a micro fibre detailing towel.
