Not a expert but I'm going to take hunch a proper battery system (think the ones that typically get attached solar) could manage π€·ββοΈHow is a battery system going to power a 240v shower for 5 minutes?
Thatβs rather extreme as a means of showering when mains are not available. Not a expert but I'm going to take hunch a proper battery system (think the ones that typically get attached solar) could manage π€·ββοΈ
Most solar inverters are limited to 3.6kWNot a expert but I'm going to take hunch a proper battery system (think the ones that typically get attached solar) could manage π€·ββοΈ
Octopus are offering "free" electricity between 7-9am tomorrow to all customers - I guess they're expecting a surplus of wind energy - it means we can get the house up to temperature using electric rather than the gas heating. Most solar inverters are limited to 3.6kW
Some are 6kW Very very few are 10kw which is what's needed to run an electric shower.
On a positive note Octopus will be paying me to use electricity from midnight to 0930 tomorrow π time to charge my battery, run the immersion, do the washing and run the tumble dryer after I get up tomorrow.
A βtabβ was a piece of paper with a tick for a beer and another mark for say a short. Not rocket science using paper and pencil. They cannot take card payments and in many cases cannot take cash as the till is not working and unable to do the maths for the correct prices and change!
Only the excess you use above what you normally use will be free πOctopus are offering "free" electricity between 7-9am tomorrow to all customers - I guess they're expecting a surplus of wind energy - it means we can get the house up to temperature using electric rather than the gas heating.
