They are supposed to be ok , looking at the bumf.Would the L&L be suitable for long term usage on a seasonal pitch?

My brother has just bought a caravan and has the L&L , he says it's great, but he has been away twice on fairly flat pitches, the L&L can only raise a wheel by 6 inches, I would rather have a ramp. Cheaper as well.On a seasonal pitch I probably wouldn't use one if I did I would check it weekly. Probably I would level the van on ramps/blocks. Then with the car attached jack it up and fit the Alko lock.
I don't think BB has anything to worry about as the dealer is delivering the caravan to the site and will probably set it all up for BB. BB's insurance may require the ALKO lockOn a seasonal pitch I probably wouldn't use one if I did I would check it weekly. Probably I would level the van on ramps/blocks. Not this time around no towbar on car the dealer will back it on to the service pitch and make sure it level and I am hoping he shows me how the Al-ko wheel lock goes and also follow someone else advice on here but thanks for your input .On a seasonal pitch I probably wouldn't use one if I did I would check it weekly. Did you not have the AlKo wheel lock on your last caravan. ?Not this time around no towbar on car the dealer will back it on to the service pitch and make sure it level and I am hoping he shows me how the Al-ko wheel lock goes and also follow someone else advice on here but thanks for your input .![]()
No just had a Bulldog Euroclamp on caravanDid you not have the AlKo wheel lock on your last caravan. ?
The problem comes when you are trying to fit the AlKo wheel lock, and trying to level the caravan side to side with a ramp.We purchased a 2nd hand Alko lock last week for our single axle caravan.
It could not be easier to fit and it perplexes me when I see comments about it being difficult 🤔
Why do you need to level to fit a lock? The problem comes when you are trying to fit the AlKo wheel lock, and trying to level the caravan side to side with a ramp.
I have a clamp type of wheel lock I can fit instead of the AlKo
No need to be level to fit the lock. Why do you need to level to fit a lock?
Probably a good job because this hardstanding service pitch has loose hardcore just hoping it finish when we get there next weekNo need to be level to fit the lock.
I’m sure the delivery company or site staff will pitch it for you and fit the lock.Probably a good job because this hardstanding service pitch has loose hardcore just hoping it finish when we get there next week![]()
I think it might be one or the other because at this seasonal site entrance there is electric gates they open and then you are suppose to park near the reception because into the site there is barrier that lifts and that comes with a fob .I’m sure the delivery company or site staff will pitch it for you and fit the lock.
I meant if you are on a sloping pitch and want to level the caravan, and then fit the AlKo wheel lock. Why do you need to level to fit a lock?
Can I borrow her🤪OH always fitted our ALKO locks and never had any issues.
She charges by the hour plus expenses. LOL! 🤣 🤣Can I borrow her🤪
Well you should either a hitch lock or a wheel clamp for the peace of mindwhen i am on pitch i never use a security device on van.
Does your insurance co not require security devices on the van when unattended or do you never leave your van when on site 🤔when i am on pitch i never use a security device on van.
