On a seasonal pitch I probably wouldn't use one if I did I would check it weekly. Probably I would level the van on ramps/blocks. Then with the car attached jack it up and fit the Alko lock.

My brother has just bought a caravan and has the L&L , he says it's great, but he has been away twice on fairly flat pitches, the L&L can only raise a wheel by 6 inches, I would rather have a ramp. Cheaper as well.

I don't think BB has anything to worry about as the dealer is delivering the caravan to the site and will probably set it all up for BB. BB's insurance may require the ALKO lock

Not this time around no towbar on car the dealer will back it on to the service pitch and make sure it level and I am hoping he shows me how the Al-ko wheel lock goes and also follow someone else advice on here but thanks for your input .(y)

We purchased a 2nd hand Alko lock last week for our single axle caravan.
It could not be easier to fit and it perplexes me when I see comments about it being difficult 🤔

The problem comes when you are trying to fit the AlKo wheel lock, and trying to level the caravan side to side with a ramp.
I have a clamp type of wheel lock I can fit instead of the AlKo

95% of the time I fit the Alko hub Lock, but if I have to level with a ramp that side and the wheel spokes do not line up with the receiver,I then fit the Wraith which just goes on the special wheel bolt fitted.

I’m sure the delivery company or site staff will pitch it for you and fit the lock.
I think it might be one or the other because at this seasonal site entrance there is electric gates they open and then you are suppose to park near the reception because into the site there is barrier that lifts and that comes with a fob .
