Who's away at the moment?

Just wondered who's taking advantage of this glorious weather and escaped to the van?

We're away with a party of, well, too many to count🙂. Having a bbq in a bit.

Just got back Lisa. Been up to Gatehouse of Fleet, but don't ever go away on BHs. Leave all that for those who can't just go when they please, and are bound by this WORK thing!

I've been away with the fairies for years,It seems you are having better weather in the UK, at the moment its 20c and cloudy here in southern spain.

I'm going away in the morning for ten days, the only trouble is that the weather has turned cooler now which means that Herself will want to pack even more clothing

.....at home enjoying the garden and a beer, 28deg C at the moment 12.30hrs.
Have come indoors to look on here and to cool down!
Off to Wakehurst Place Gardens this afternoon for a walk and to view the Bluebells.
Stowford PC rally on Thursday.

We never tend to go away at bank holidays mainly due to the traffic.
Were off on the 16th May though to Christchurch in the Forest Of Dean.
Had a great time there last year and the dogs loved the woodland walks.

Yes we are in Austria having left the UK on 11th April, 10 days touring down with 4 stops en route. Diesel Fuel cheap here 1.30 Euro's a litre different to the UK Germany we bought for 1.39 Euro's off the Motorway. Hot and Sunny here too. Diesel in Luxembourg 1.21 euro's litre. Enjoyed meeting up with Lutz for 1 night in Heidelberg when he travelled to meet us with his van and cooked supper for us..

Hello Dianne! I waas just looking at your website for info on Germany, but your travels take you further south than we want to go on our way to Sweden. We're sailing on May 29th, to be in Sweden for 15th June, so plenty of time to explore. The site a Prum may be interesting though...........................!

Hi

We're at home this weekend, were away last weekend tho'. Tend not to travel on Bank holiday, far too many people on the roads. However driving back home from day out on Thursday there were lots of vans leaving Wirral can't be many caravanners left at home here this weekend.

Hope everyone's had agreat weekend, only 5 weekends till we're away again

John & Nic

Congratulations on the new caravan Rick, I hope that you will enjoy many happy times in the Verona

I hope to meet some fellow forum-ites next week at Stowford so if you see a little fat bloke with a walking stick and a smaller O/H, don't saw my stick in half, come and say hello

Thannks Parksy, I must admit after spending 5 nights in it, we are both really pleased, neither of us wanted to come home. Unfortunately its back to work tomorrow, but still, only 18 days before we're off away again

Here in Northern Ireland there seems to be a lot of caravanners out enjoying the Easter break, although weather not just so nice today. We are at home this weekend due to family commitments, but had a lovely weekend last weekend just 15 miles from home. Heading off Friday morning to Co Fermanagh- to a new site for us but has been in Top 100 last 2 years so looking forward to it although will take us about 3 hours to get there. Hopefully the weather will be good for us. Hope everyone out there is having a great season. Olive

Rather disappointed with the weather today, very chilly outside. Got the good old heating on now. LOL!

I'm enjoying the sun in Eardisland Herefordshire in my home.
The only problem is 36 caravans had the same idea.

.

Only kidding. It's nice to see the site nearly full for a change. Since march 50% of the time we've been the only ones on.
I must complement them all on being very quiet and apart from the odd bark or two and the cackle of laughter you wouldn't notice them at all.
Beautifull sunshine hear and soon the aircraft from shobdon will start to flood the sky.
Noisyest resident is a wood pedgeon.
Oh well off for a round of snooker on our 1/2 size table in the awning.
Happy Hols to all out there having fun in the sun.

Blimey, lucky you Joe.

We're right opposite the beach, so I guess it's the sea breeze. Friday was red hot and nice into the evening.

Just got back from Beddgelert in North Wales and am absolutely cream crackered.
Walked up Snowdon yesterday in glorious sunshine. Much harder than I anticipated, but I suppose it maybe would have been easier without a Cream Egg easter egg stuffed inside of me!!

Only back for three days then off again to Coed Helen, again in North Wales. This time for a relaxing weekend without any strenuous walking.

It was a really nice day today. I saw one sad sight. A magpie had stolen a chick from a blackbirds nest. The male was chasing the magpie making a hell of a noise. I wish they'd cull magpies. We were woken to the sound of ducks. Her Ladyship hoovered around the caravan while I cleaned the windows. Apart from that we haven't done much apart from read, eat and drink. There are lovely views from the caravan windows while we sit and drink our coffee although I'd much prefer sea views. The only thing that spoils it is the neighbours. They laugh at us sat in the caravan on the drive

We just got back from c.c. Lakeside nr Dulverton today, been there since Thursday evening and had fantastic weather all w/e. Site 95% full but very quiet!!
Had a couple of showers but didnt bother us.
We Live in tiverton 15 miles away, but we love Exmoor, less fuel (£20 for the w/e) and no hords of traffic on the motorways.
