Why is it....

... that some people just can't help themselves by having to put in comments like:

"I'll be travelling down to ...... with my 5.8 litre 2006 Bentley, towing a 6 berth, twin-axle 2006 ......GLS caravan (worth £xxx,000) . and was wondering if anyone could help me?"

What one earth have the exact Make/Model of Car/Caravan got to do with it?

I really do feel sometimes that it is a case of one-upmanship (ie. mine is bigger than yours!).

Open for debate!

Phil if I could afford to buy and run a 2006 Bentley I certainly would not be towing a caravan I would be in the south of France somewhere lording it up with no worries about accommodation.

For your information my wife and I will be travelling in our 1998 Daihatsu Fourtrack with our NEW Ace Envoy - had to get the new van in somehow hehehehe. Seriously they are only doing it to impress - probably they are the get rich quick brigade who need to boast. We bought the new van with some of the money I inherited after my parents, prior to this we had a 1989 Ace Globetrotter, then a Bailey Ranger and finally prior to the new van a 1999 motor home.

To be honest with you Phil I haven't noticed people doing that.

Pssstttt - I have got a GLS caravan though ;O) As for the "mine is bigger than yours", when pointing Percy at the porcelain I keep my eyes fixed straight ahead at the wall reading the Kilroy jokes :O) hehheh!

What chance have us males got when you constantly use Viagra - you are not giving us a fair crack of the whip. Let it be known that Lord B. is cheating on this score - reading the jokes - he is just holding his head up high with a smug grin on his face.

Oh dear.

Is it a caravaning requirement for us males to take viagra then?

Being a newbie still I didnt realise, should I take double doses while away to make up for lost time.

(now towing a 12 room hotel behind my Roller Royce from here to⇨there

I have the feeling that he is not so much old as cryogenically frozen, with just the head barking forum comments at his computer.... Mark (",)

I think I know what Phill means. But is it any different from putting ones title in front of your name ;)

Just take it that people are being honest and saying hey I'm driving a large expensive set-up and am I taking the best route or please clear the road I'm a muppet and you may get squished as I glide along thinking of higher level destinations than a CL next to a farm abbatoir.

On the other hand it may just be by the way of asking advice re routing or type of sites to suit them.

Having no idea what Lord B looks like I imagine some aged withered lothario living on delusions re some buck toothed chambermaid of 60 years ago when the gentry had money and respect.

Having lost his millions and his marbles due to the insurance "names" fiasco, now with her ladyship lives in sheltered accomodation bungalow plagueing the home help and social services and meals on wheels ladies with his wayward shaking hands rattling on about Viagra.

But if he is happy along with the Bentley Drivers with a matching Lord B GLS van fair play to them.

Their post on what they are driving and where they are going are probably a warning to clear the roads as the old duffers have never had the OK from the Doctors to carry on driving at their ages, so for god sake avoid them at all cost as when the HIT the road as there legs are what need stiffening with Viagra.

No doubt Lord B and others use the van as a St Tropez or st Barts substitute when they actually tell others they are away on grand breaks with the in crowd when actually they are picking the van up from a farm storage compound ten miles up the road.

ps. If anyone found a set of keys to a Rolls Royce and a Van Royce, they are not mine.
