Sited literally beneath the castle this small site is clean,quiet and very well serviced. Just short stroll from a beach that is to die for and but short drive from Barmouth, Shell island and Portmeirion. Not affiliated to either of the big clubs AFAIK we spent three nights there over the bank holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
 
we love wales and stayed at ocean view a few years ago near clanarch bay this time we went was a bit busy, was looking at this as an alternative, thanks for good review{ we went round the village and castle, husband wanted buy a house and stay!!!}
