The grass field has a tarmac road around it wide enough for two cars as I recall so it would just be the van and awning on grass,it is about 20 miles from us so I can do a recce if required or Google Earth may show it .

Looks a good one, who says we have to use the rally field, suspect they wont be very busy in October and they may offer us the hard standing pitches, worth a phone call, pub up road and the village hall if required.

This is the rally field area and if it's wet you park on the road!!!!

Could be fun if we all park facing the centre with awnings and wind breaks on the grass. ;)

I've lost the plot . :silly: Are these pics Barnstones, Anita's or Bo peep? I like Kev's idea of circling the wagons.

Last winter I pitched on a hard standing, with the awning on what could loosely described as grass. After only two days the surface underfoot in the awning was just a splodge of squelchy mud, despite having a number of thick rubber 'aerating' mats laid in the main traffic area. Not an experience I'd want to repeat in a hurry! Wet season? Hard standing only for me!

I see on another post Dusty is suggesting this site http://www.highfieldfarmtouringpark.co.uk/index.html ,
I/we rallied on here a few years back and they had a meeting place to use, and we had a meal and social in it. Worth a thought?

Whilst you 'Woosies' are deliberating your rendezvous, how about a little puzzle, as shown to me, can you work out how it's done?

Think it time to stop deliberating and make some decisions especially about the date, someone needs to take the bull by the horn or we will miss it, both our workplaces are having an influx of hols being booked.
So on that note how does everyone feel about the first weekend in October, Thurs 1st onwards.
