Gafferbill quote "This is for day rover returns Pickering to Whitby."

Doesn't that mean you don't state a particular train? It's not rocket science. :p (Unless Stephenson is the driver).

If you look at the RED time table that gives you the train times for the 16th ;)

The first train from Pickering leaves @ 09.25 & arrives in Whitby at 11.10, there are trains back from Whitby @ 12.45 & 14.00 the last one back to Pickering from Whitby leaves @ 16.40 ;)

I have just booked 2 return tickets and plan leaving Pickering @ 9:25, returning on the 14:00 from Whitby.

Does the Rover ticket allow you to get off at different stations Boss would like to call in at Goathland and then got to Whitby (or the other way round depending on her mood at the time )

They appear to:

Quote: "Return Tickets allows you to break up your journey between the stations for which that ticket has been issued. e.g. When you purchase a Pickering to Goathland Adult Return ticket for £20.00, the ticket allows you to travel between the stations of Pickering, Levisham, Newtondale Halt and Goathland."

Good news.

Martin aka Sir Outnumbered 4:1 and Jenny will be with us. :) They may arrive earlier but at the moment looking to Friday evening. Subject to Jenny work.
Martin says they have a routine and can manage to set up alone but are grateful for our offers of help.

I'm going to book the NYMR probably same as Sir WC times . Lady Villa hasn't made her mind up yet . If we jump off at Goathland then we will have to leave Whitby on the 14.00 train I guess. Will let you know .
:cheer:

You are a star Bill/
Just booked our tickets with the RETURN 20 discount. Sadly as we are not Blue Rinsers we had to pay the full price less discount. The dogs got no discount but it's cheap enough.
What time do we need to leave the Black Bull , get parked up at Pickering and get the train? Just in case I get it wrong and we get left behind :( :woohoo:

The AA route Planner gives the distance as 1.8 miles. ;)

Potentially walkable then. Although as they say, everywhere is within walking distance provided you have enough time.

I'm going to collect ours when we're there before Friday and check out the disabled parking at the same time to see if I can take a few of us to the station in the Trundle Truck

Will you get your 20% discount if not bought in advance? :(

Think there was an option to have them posted or collect at the station on the advance booking page?

Whato one and all.

Hope everyone enjoys the train ride, we always have done.

Thank you all for your concern, I'm okay, fully adjusted to power chair instead of walkers and scooter.

Possibly moving at the end of the month, should be confirmed this week so stress levels would be quite high but we're on site until the 4th September so that's a calming influence.

Looking forward to Pickering weekend. We may be arriving a little earlier in the day than planned so see you when you get back from the train trip.
