By way of an aside..........we had quite a fire near where I live yesterday.

See here .....believe it or not the Flowgas depot was not damaged which must be due to the skill of the fire service.
They brought in a foam tender from nearby Gatwick Airport to help out.
The fire raged through some parked domestic diesel fuel delivery trucks.
See the video.

Incidentally I used to park my artic truck in the very spot the fire was raging :eek:hmy:

Nothing to do with fridges or cladding Bill?
When the proverbial hits the fan thank goodness our emergency services are there to help us. :cheer:

Quite a bonfire by the look of it. Could have been much worse, well done to all the firefighters that obviously prevented things being worse. Many criticise our emergency services and armed forces. I personally have nothing but admiration for them all. (as long as they aren't holding a speed gun  )

Lords, Ladys and Dames, Surfs and hand Madiens,
Back from Holidays,
DD, i see folk think we are using a secrect language! Whilst living near to Bletchley Park, ( Milton Keynes) home of the code breakers , a fantastic place, every visit is different, closest caravan park is the C And C Gullivers land. But there are better sites within .
Anyway , after getting home and two SP days with my 15 syns aĺlowance, used the " Salted Caramel Bars" and didnt exceed my Healthy A or Healthy B. Only 1/2 kg up.
Woosies fest , weekend of , 15 t0 18th September. And days either way, , then off to Northeumberland.

Yes, Martin, a fantastic time yet again, some splendid, mountain track driving, got to drive over the Taminabrukken bridge 852meters high, asl. But only 210 meters above the valley floor. Ended up going through Lichtenstien on the way home by mistake, that day. Unfortunatly didnt get into Austria this time maybe next year.
Good news is going in on Monday to have my schonker shave again. So booking for the Woosiefest on Tuesday.
Hutch

Kev, hope your not going near to Houghton Mill , near Huntingdon, next week as we would like a dry week. Look forward to meeting up again at Stratford.

I hope so, time to get the radio controlled boat out, this time rather than the drone training for DD.
Kev shame the quiz isn't in French, The old girl is now 50% fluent, didnt help us last week in the Alsace, as they speak a strange French /German version. Same as the Swis German in Zurich. I just pointed at things I wanted.

You should have plenty of space this time. The drone nearly clipped our van when it was being test flown.  Not ideal trying to fly it between vans.

Oh dear onto the naughty step Sir Were-Rabbit

Kev - we have neighbours primed and ready with the hose pipes! All alcohol will be locked up in a friends garage (except what we bring). I'm thinking of the parties WE'LL have!!

It's a strengthened clip-on hook and adjustable length to cater for the application. Normal cables should NOT be clipped, other than back on themselves, as the hooks are weak and will deform before the brakes are fully applied in the event of a breakaway. With the 13 pin socket on the car built into the base of the towball a wrap-around cable would interfere and possibly chaffe the wire loom.

I did put a photo on a previous thread but it's probably no longer visible. :(

Edit - trying a quick photo before the plug is pulled.

Very interesting. Good point here.
Do you think there should be a specification sheet included with each breakaway cable explaining the limitations of its application ?
I thought since The Carlos Test was invented all breakaway cables had to made to a minimum standard?
I hope mine isn't substandard :(

Before I purchased the cable from the manufacturer (W4) I rang them and spoke to their technical manager, who assured me they have done all the required tests on the item required by the EU. He also advised me on the fitting of it.
The racks in the caravan shop (and car accessory shops) seem to be full of W4 items, so they are a known make.
