I believe she suggested proximity eg Oxfordshire such that they could make it for the weekend rather than use a Bank Holiday which could be dearer.

A couple of hours absolute max for a term time / October half term drive as we don't really want to set up in the dark. The kids don't get home til nearly 4pm, and Mat finishes work and is not home before 6pm.

Just to recap any of the following shpuld be ok for Crazy Guider but the facilities may mean we may have to reassess how we do the fest. Not insurmountable.

or if it helps for a second year in a row we are also happy with

I and Lady Villa will probably have a week going into october wherever we choose.
I wonder if there are any other good places we've overlooked πŸ€”

First weekend in October is fine by us. We want to extend our season a little, and it won't be too dark then as the clocks won't have changed.
Oxon, Glos, Hereford/Worcs all ok for us!

Apologies. I don't even know what I have done! I'm blaming the edit facilities on this iPad. Whatever I did I am now undoing it. Whatever is was........undoing it now...consider it undone.

We've got a date, so is there a decision about where? Did it come down to Barnstones or Anita's or is there another in the running. Should we vote?

.........just my attempt at a joke your Majesticness!
If you look back at the posts........I added my name to the list at post 394216
Sir WC added a post with a quote against my name at post 394218
.........and you your Majesticals added a post with my name missing from the list at post 394227
I thought I must of been banned. πŸ˜—

That nice Sir Gagakev put me back on the list at post 394240 and he is right ....I don't have a cunning plan because I don't know where we are going

Bo Peep would get my vote but happy to go anywhere.
Red Lion and Pickled Ploughman pub / restaurants nearby to Bo Peep.

1- Bosworth caravan park ( The Gate House )
Walk to Dixie Arms-16 Minutes
2 - Anita's
Walk to Green Man- 5 Minutes
3 - Barnstones
3 - Barnstones ( david klyne review )
Walk to Bell Inn- 2 Minutes
4 - Bo Peep
Walk to Red Lion- 23 Mins
Walk to Pickled ploughman-13minutes

All within traveling distance for Dame Crazy Guider

Wheathill park will be a hard one to follow / find ... any more suggestions ???

Just some info for the Alcholics amongst us (all of us) but please remember it will take twice as long to return..... two steps forwards 1 step back :woohoo:

Our choice would be to narrow it down to Barnstones or Anitas, either would suit us, but will go with the majority. (Even if it's not one of those 2)
