Back in the land of internet - been in deepest, dankest Cornwall for a week! I've just found out that some dear friends of ours have just bought their first van - a Swift Basecamp - and suggested to them that they join our merry throng in September IF you folks are ok with it and if they can get away. thoughts please?

Welcome home. Alas not doing Dorset this year πŸ™ Staying at home as still lots of work to do in the garden to get it ready for being away most of next summer. :cheer:

I don't see a problem with your chums coming along in September. After all we're open to all forum users and I'm sure they'll be joining our merry band on here :cheer:

I dont see a problem with your friend coming along, just trying to book the site this after noon, couldn't get through but will sort it out tomorrow morning. They sent me an Email saying still plenty of room.

Claire......there isn't a problem if your friends join us as Woosies have brought their friends before at some of our other meets.
If they do book can you let me know on here and then I will drop you an email?
I will need info to assist with some arrangements.

I am in Dorset from August 20th but more over on the New Forest side and I will be going to the Dorset Steam Fair (as long as it is not rained off) :cheer:
......I also know another Woosie will also be there in August in the Poole area 😱hmy:

We are near Swanage, now but home Sunday. Boy is it raining! Daughter (tenting) went home yesterday because of forecast, got it right too! - Summer not been great for us yet. The sunshine has tended to be on the damp side! But apparently the 'Woosie' forecast is good. (And of course visitors are welcome.)

Just booked Stratford for the 15th until 19th, might stay longer depending on whats happening at the time. Looking forwards to meeting up with faces again.
Hutch and Elaine.

We wont be out again until September. Family commitments and repairs to the Wyoming. I've fixed the grill which packed up again a few weeks ago. Muck in the feed pipe, rust , caused a blockage. The fan on the Truma Ultraheat needed changing. Not easy but managed to do it without removing the whole fire. All gas checked and safe.
Now have to change the nearside awning rail which thankfully comes in two sections. A bit of damp was detected last February and the leak point established. The hardest bit will be removing the old sealant. As the job is best done under cover and a brand new rail easier I have decided to let my local caravan engineer do it in his workshop. Not cheap but a lot easier for me especially as this month seems to be rain, rain and rain πŸ™

And that other Woosie is the Rainmaster himself, so if I was you I would not stay anytime after the 24th Aug when we arrive in the afternoon, we are then doing the Steam Fair one day, tank museum another and then the motor museum.
But there could be a problem as I havent broken my plans to the women yet!!!!!!!!!!

Going from 12th to 24th, so hopefully, looking at the long range forecast, it won't be too bad!

If Kev's arriving on the 24th I would take the awning down a couple of days earlier just incase it's ahead of him.

Thanks for the email My Most Noble King. Here is the latest info I have, 7 confirmed bookings.

We usually take it down the night before, but eldest is sleeping in it as neither child can now access the top book as they are too tall!!!

Cant access the top book [on the top shelf] as they are too tall
But if they lay down on the top shelf [bunk] surely they wont bump their heads :silly: :silly:

Our three girls were all only just over 5' when we ditched the fixed bunks as being unusable. Luckily they're girls so they don't need to reach the top shelf πŸ˜— πŸ˜—
