Zafira 2.2 TDI (What size Caravan is appropriate)

What size caravan is a Zafira 2.2 TDI suitable of towing,

You need to be very careful with Zafiras as their max tow weight is not great.

Not all Zafiras have a low max tow weight. You are confusing the 2.0 diesel which has a limit of only 1050kg with the 2.2 diesel which has a very respectable 1500kg.

New 2.2 Zafira according to manufacturers book says 1500kg.

We have been trying to find the same information for the 1.9CDTi and believe that this is also 1500kg if 150bhp or ranges from 1300-1400 if 120bhp.

Could you please help us & tell us where you get the figure of 1050 from? We were also told this at our local van dealers, however whattowcar.com gives a figure of 1503kg for the 2.0 Zafira DTi which we currently have.This has been confusing us for some time.

I think you are confusing the kerbweight with the maximum towload. The kerbweight could very well be 1503kg but the towload of the 2.0DTI is very definitely 1050kg (1100kg if the car is not fitted with air conditioning).

The 2.2 that you are referring to is the petrol, not the diesel.
