I have a lunar Lexon EB and theres 5 of us. It does it all and its so easy to tow (I'm pulling it behind an old transit). Check out Ebay and get a bargain :)

Not sure how far you want to push the van but another idea is to lay twin steel 3" channel tracks flush with your drive at 90 degrees (Galv would be best)and 4 plates with guides for the wheels and shouders so that they run in the tracks. Not a great idea but will take a lot more punishment...

This might be over the top here but how about a latch and padlock / pin on the outside. Doesn't have to stop the hulk just a little one... ? Thats the easy way out in my mind....

If they have used the spare wheel area for installing the tank then there wont be much in it weight wise. So dont expect to much difference maybe 10 kg heavier I would say myself. Get them to print the ticket for you :)

I get small sheets from hyper value for next to nothing and throw them away when they get ruined... Everyone to their own though :)

Clive hes been running it for years and as you said insurance wise its illegal if it wasn't informed but its the same systems in principle as hot air balloons, fork lifts (I had one for years with a bottle behind me) and caravans so its quite safe in principle.
