    Reversing mirror on 4x4

I have one of the mirrors you describe and have had it for 3 years. They do not drop off, or at least mine doesn't, but I do find that if the sun's rays are striking the lens you do have difficulty seeing anything. Normally you can see closer to the rear of your vehicle that you can see...

    washing caravan roof?

Hi Helen, I would think hand car wash facilities would come out pretty expensive - after all they charge minimum

lake district ( cumbria ) caravan club sites

The only thing I would add to the excellent reviews on this area is that parking on a sunny day (if you get one) in the principal towns/vilages is horrendous. Keswick on market day is a lock-out and so is Ambleside. You have got to get out of the tourist traps to avoid congestion. brian.f

    Rudesheim

thanks for your reply Lutz. There seems to be a lack of visual information on this site. We prefer clean toilets with spacious showers as the daughter is slightly disabled. We would like to go for the wine festival which I believe is 14-17 August, but am concerned that it may be crowded at...

    getting heated up in bed

thanks for that Chrissie, we are going to the lakes this weekend, and I am going to try just the memory foam with a duvet filling on top - (without the airbed). I will try put your suggestion about coolmax and see if that improves the situation . Thanks again, brian.f

    getting heated up in bed

the amount of bedding we currently use is the result of playing around with different combinations, without much improvement. Also, our caravan is a Fendt, with two fixed single beds for the kids at the front and our current made-up bed at the back which brings us up to the same height. I...

    Which Caravan cover?

Hi Nic, I wouldn't bother at all. I am of the belief that no cover can cater for all weather conditions, and the only time they are any good is in still conditions with heavy rain. If its blowing they chafe the bodywork and hold moisture inside when there's condensation caused by temerature...

    getting heated up in bed

Thanks a lot for your comments, - perhaps I should have married a cooler woman. I shall try again without the air mattress, but the problem you will no doubt appreciate is that you can spend a good deal of a holiday trying out different combinations, and a good deal of money can be spent...

    getting heated up in bed

I have run out of ideas about getting a good nights sleep on our van. I have tried memory foam and air mattresses and a combination of the two. But we cannot avoid feeling hot in bed as our body heat seems to be reflected back at us. Currently, we have the caravan cushions, on top of which...

    Dogs in France

Hi Everyone, Can someone acquaint me of the law regarding dogs in France. Are the French as keen on dogs kept in cars as the UK, and do sites provide dog walks?. I have also wondered at the reaction to dogs at pavement cafe's as I have not seen any dogs tucked underneath tables mopping up...
