I have an 07 Navara which tows our Ranger 540/6 like its not there. Solo around town i get 28mpg so on the A30 you should see 30+. I worked out 24mpg when towing.

We have this van and as guide says, awning is 998cm.

Does anyone use a towbar mounted carrier, if so, what make/model do you have? I tried one from Towsure but once I hitched up the van, I wasn't confident of the wheel not catching the van so returned the rack for a refund. I'm looking at the Witter ZX89. Anyone use this rack?

The paint on my Navara tow bar is peeling, a quick brush and some hammerite should sort things.

Hi, We are looking at going to the lakes next month for a week, any recommendations? We have a couple of kids so a decent play ground would be handy. Would prefer somewhere with a decent on-site bar also. Thanks.

Glen asked if anyone towed with one of these vehicles along with their opinions so was just giving mine. Its a fantastic tow car and i've had no issues. I live in my car, its my work vehicle, family car and tow car!!!

We wanted to 'do' Chatsworth site this weekend but they were booked up. We ended up at LooseHill (Castleton). Great site, very clean & tidy. Only critisism was the kids play area.

On our way down to Cornwall a couple of weeks ago we spent the night in Bridgewater services !!!!

We have a Bailey 540/6. Great van with triple rear bunks. Not that common though.

I disagree with William, we towed with an A4 Avant 2.5TDI Quattro which was a brilliant tow car. We still have the car but also now have a Range Rover. The A4 gives 40+ MPG solo and 25-26 towing.

I have an A4 Avant 2.5 TDI Quattro which pulls a Bailey Ranger 540/6 with ease. Great engine along with sure footed 4WD. I'm sure the All Road would be an even better tow car.(Although I have just also bought a Range Rover !!)

Thanks. Magic Dragon, we bought the van from Robinsons but am looking to save a few pennies (or pounds) if possible.
