A 530d BMW touring is worth a thought. I have a 2001 model, 90kg nose weight, 195bhp, 2000g max tow weight and pull my senator indiana with no fuss.

I have a 2001 BMW 530d touring, 195 bhp, towing max 2000kg, 90kg nose weight, self levelling, pulls my Senator Indiana 1500kg no problem. Great towcar and economical as well.

I have a 2001 BMW 530d touring, 195bhp nose weight 90kg towing max 2000kg self levelling suspension etc. I tow a Bailey Senator Indiana @ 1500kgs the car doesn't know its there and still does 26mpg when towing and up to 40 when solo. A great tow car.
