    Site near Bordeaux ring road

I'm never sure why people get so exercised about this. We've stayed on loads of municipals which have had what might be termed itinerants - ie people who are working in the area - and had no problems at all. Remember that the municipals were originally set up to cater for exactly these people.

    recreation ground CL at puddletown

We stayed there a few years ago to attend the Tolpuddle Martyrs festival and it was fine. We were even entertained by a cricket match on the Sunday afternoon!

    Brittany Ferries

The main restaurant is definitely open in the evening - from around 6pm IIRC. I don't think it opens before that although I could be wrong. It's a bit expensive but the huge buffet of starters and sweets makes up for it!

Alternatives to Nationwide Card in France

Another alternative is the Santander Zero card which does not charge either for purchases or cash withdrawals - although it does start charging interestfrom the withdrawal date, it's still cheaper than alternatives. I got mine some years ago but I suspect there is now some restriction on who...

    Alko Towball

I'm quite surprised how little rust appears on mine, even after a winter with just a simple cover. A quick rub with Scotchbrite usually brings it up fine.

    Split charger relay

I have my charge relay wired through the ignition so that it's energised when the ignition is on. I had considered taking the earth from the relay to the oil pressure warning switch so that the relay would only close when I had oil pressure (ie when the engine's running). Any views on this...

    Sites near Paris

We are going to France in May and intend to spend a few days on the outskirts of Paris, using RER / metro to travel into the city. From the CC Europe guide, there seem to be three good options for sites: Bois de Boulogne, Maisons Laffitte and the municipal site at Neuilly sur Marne. Any views...

    Sites near the Camargue

We stayed at Stes Marie de la mer a couple of years ago and have to agree the mosquitos were pretty bad (and the ants.....). But everything else was wonderful!!!

    TV aerial on Bailey Pageant

I'm taking delivery of a new Bailey Pageant Vendee in March this year. The caravan has a fitted TV aerial (Status?) but this takes the height slightly over the standard for cross channel ferries (2.6m). As we don't watch TV in the caravan anyway can we remove this and is there some sort of...
