Scotland 2011 - Waiting for Katia

Just read your great blog!! We've been to most of the places on there quite a few times. Your photos are fantastic!! I'ts a shame the weather was so bad for you but you got pictures at Rannoch Moor which is stunning. This link will hopefully show some winter pictures we took mainly of Rannoch...

Caravan site for Tourers AND Static/logcabin/chalet in Cornwall/Devon

Ayr Holiday Park in St. Ives has tourers, statics, chalets and apartments/big house. It's not cheap and very popular but one of my favourite sites because I love St. Ives. There's no fishing but it's about 10 to 15 minute walk to town and beach

We spent the whole of the heatwave (10 days) at the Sandringham CC site - our first time there and temperatures of 29 degrees most of the time!!

    Scotland Sites

We've just got back from Rosemarkie and had the best Scotland holiday ever! The wonderful weather played a part though. We will definitely go back to the Rosemarkie site asap!! Brora wasn't so good for us a couple of years ago but we had really bad weather so it shows that the weather makes a...

Difference between C&CC sites and CC sites?

We have been escorted to our pitch but have never been made to take one we didn't want. They usually tell you which pitches are available and let you choose which one you prefer. If the site is very empty we have been able to say where we want to go and then escorted to the pitch and helped if...

Difference between C&CC sites and CC sites?

As well as giving discount to over 55's the C&CC do not charge for our adult son who has Down's Syndrome. This is because he is dependant on us for a holiday and we can't go anywhere without him. We asked the CC if they would let him stay without charging him but were told he would have to pay...

    Grange Caravan Club Site

I've mentioned this before but the 'This is Durham' website has special offers which may be useful called Durham Deals http://www.thisisdurham.com/site/inspire-me/durham-deals

    One for Ladies-

We have an aquarium heater in our internal tank which after being switched on overnight leaves the water tepid. We strictly only use the internal tank for showering and we fully empty it and refil with fresh water every day. It will last for 2 long showers. It is important never to drink from...

    Who has dealt with Discover

We have just bought our 5th caravan, we always shop around to get the best price and our local Discover is ALWAYS the most expensive and can't come anywhere near to the price we have paid. This applies to every van we have bought!

Trip planned Paignton to Glasgow - One or two Stopovers???

Not a CL but there is a caravan site next to the Westmorland Tebay services on the M6 at junction 38. I haven't stayed on it because it's not far from home but it makes a great overnight stop from the south to Scotland and the services are privately owned and considered by many people to be the...

Midges on West Coast of Scotland

I usually get bitten very badly so we tend to go caravanning in Scotland April or May and usually have great weather. This year we went to Canadian Rockies middle of June and was warned about being bitten there. For two weeks before going I ate marmite on toast and carried on whilst in Canada...
