Silver Surfer here with an update of what I know so far: Insurance assessor was due to visit on Tuesday last but not heard any decisions yet, my friends were due to travel to Cornwall on Easter Sunday, I have offered them the use of our Coachman which they have accepted.

I had a very similar issue some years ago in our Sterling Europa. I simply unscrewed the power unit, slid it out to find the lead had come away from the connector so I plugged it back in and bingo, all was well.

Hello again, I recently posted about towing with my Multispace 1.6 auto and I have abandoned that idea. My wife has a Mercedes GLA 2.0 auto, our caravan is a Coachman 460 with a MTPLM of 1334kg. Could someone please confirm this is a good match. I simply want peace of mind about this. Many thanks.

How old should flexible gas hoses be before renewing? The hose on my Cadac is dated 2003, should I replace it even though it appears to be totally sound without visible cracks or damage. Also whilst I think about it, what is the life of a standard regulator? many thanks

Guess what .... All sorted and the 20amp fuse changed, thanks a million mate, very much appreciated.

Last week as I plugged a 12v pump into the fitted 12v socket I blew a fuse which i changed, all well whilst on site hooked up to mains. Now home the 12v system is completely dead apart for the items which are directly wired up to the battery, (mover and radio). No lights, pump, toilet flush etc...

Thanks for your reply Ray, the hole was from out to in, imagine a dart being thrown at the roof. I hope that I made it clear that I am hoping to have the water ingress (damp to roof and panels with some decay of plywood lining) repaired. Tomorrow I will contact CC and explain the situation...
