Buckman,
Why not join us at The Coachman Caravan Park Staunton near Pickering in October for this years Woosiefest

It would be nice, but it is about 4 hours away from us and then you have the return journey. Just that bit to far as 2 - 3 hours is my limit. Probably cost more in fuel than the cost of the stay on the site. LOL!

ive stayed there years ago with my 5th wheel unit, a nice little site that backs onto the pub garden. The people that owned it also owned a garage down the road which at the time in the rear of the unit was also a museum full of old motorbikes and cars with a workshop opposite the caravan site they are now well known as the Bangers and Cash people. Dont know if they still own the caravan site though.

Whats drawing all that 6amps?
And what's wrong with site showers?
Why use site showers when you have the facilities in your own caravan for which you paid good money? After picking up a fungus infection many years ago, we have never used site showers again plus the fact that for me it is an effort to get to site showers. We don't see any problem with 6amp on a site.

Because the on-site showers are spacious, with endless hot water, often at a decent pressure and volume? Because all wet work is in a tiled room away from the van? Because it’s a good reason for a little wander to nose at the other outfits on site?

We have yet to use our shower; we would if it was preferable to either no shower or to bad showers, but it’s not the primary reason for getting the van and it’s not like you can easily find one without. It’s a useful place to carry the Aquaroll and Wastemaster too.

For a long time my wife refused to use the site showers, favouring the one in the caravan(s).

Last year i persuaded her to go try them (a first in 12 years!), she's not used the one in the caravan since

We have endless hot water at a decent pressure so no issue there. We do wander around the site for a bit of exercise. πŸ˜€

Good job you use the sites shower. Equipment stored on the thin plastic shower floor usually causes premature failure.

Quite a switch from discussing 6amps on a site to showering on site? Surely electric and water do not mix? 🀣

Well, actually they do now.
Latest wiring regs are bringing us more in line with the rest of civilisation that allows 240v sockets in bathrooms.
