The valve was shut firmly and not used until earlier this month. I bought this bottle at a greengrocers near Battle Sussex September 2022. Got a good mind to call them and explain why a negative review is on its way.

What weight have you got in the bottle compared to when you purchased it. All the necessary information wrt empty weight is on the bottle. Seems somewhat small minded to give a negative review after so long. How can you prove you had it shut off firmly enough?

I doubt you were sold an empty. You would have noticed 😜
If you still have the cylinder why not tell Calor and ask them to do their usual pre fill test and inspection?
Whilst I doubt there is anything wrong , best to remove that remote possibility?

Another reason a bottle can empty is if is disconnected from the caravan and the bung isn't fitted in the bottle, if the valve is letting by.

Whatever the reason the the bottle is now empty, it can't be anything the retailer could have prevented, unless they sold you an empty bottle, which I'm sure you would have immediately noticed as it would have been so light? leaving them a negative review would be unfair.

Over 3 years it would only need the tiniest seep from a bottle to make an impact. Given the constant reuse of bottles then the occasional one with a slightly worn thread sufficient to allow a seep would not be unexpected. Really think it is unfair to blame the retailer, especially a grocers shop rather than a specialist gas supplier, 3 years on.
