Abs crack panel repair.

My ACE jubilee viceroy has got a 1mm wide by 15mm long stress crack above the middle front window it is. A 2004 model so I think abs plastic, what is the best way to fix this and stop it spreading?

I've got a small crack in my back panel to repair,I've bought some 2 part ABS bumper repair adhesive http://gt-pro.co.uk/powerfix-bumper-and-plastic-repair-cartridge.html to glue the crack together then fill and paint. It would help if you can access the crack from behind to reinforce,I can only drill an access hole through the back light housing so I am going to try to glue it first,I have put extra screw in already.Just witing for the weather to improve.
Ther is a good posting on another caravan forum detailing exactly how to do it that I am following

Before you glue and fill a crack, remember to drill a samll hole, 3/32" to 1/8" at the very end of the crack to stop it from continuing to spread. On ABS you don't need any pressure, high speed and let the drill bit do the work.

You've not gone metric yet then. 😗

Chrisbee, I still use number drills at times from my old Zues, book, . Were are British you know. 🙂

Thanks for all your help, I have just ordered some Silika 512 caravan sealer, going to drill the end of the crack then apply this product. It has really good feedback. Fingers crossed.
So worrying when something goes wrong with your pride and joy.
