Mrs V and I are thinking about getting an Air Fryer for use at home, but does anyone takes there's away to use in the caravan?

Yes we do, in our Panel Van, but not the "home" one as thats a bit big.
We take a small one thats just big enough for 2 (the air fryer not PVC !) purchased from Lidl for about £25. It complements the Remoska which also gets used a huge amount at home (that only draws 400 watts so very handy when on 6a supply) .
In addition we take a single induction hob away with us, so our gas consumption is pretty minimal when on site/EHU.

Yes we have a small one for the caravan which gives us extra cooking capacity over and above the oven. At home we have a larger one which is generally more useful. I am looking at getting a Go Chef multi cooker for the caravan as I think it could be more useful and versatile than a pure air fryer.

If you use one in the van or even in the awning, be very careful about the heat exhaust. Seen some horror pictures on FB where an air fryer has damaged the wall board when used in the kitchen area or the outer van skin when used close to the van in an awning.

Depends on your definition of noisy! They have a fan which circulates the hot air within them, they are by no means silent but not particularly noisy either, think in terms of a hair drier on low is my best description.

We had the Ninja Air Fryer Max AF160UK in our caravan. Did not take up much space and hardly heard it operating. We also had a small George Foreman grill 1300w and both could operate at the same time provided the the site was at least 10amp although 16amp was preferable.
Although we have the Ninja Foodi Max we now use both in tandem at home. The foodi max can take the bigger items like roasts etc.

I use my Ninja Air Fryer AF100UK specifically for my Caravan. Obviously you have to be careful what you run with it, eg: toaster and microwave, but it serves us lovely, just use it and make sure your power output (on your control panel) does not exceed the top level of your site.

just in case you re-consider, i have a two birth swift 480 and my Ninja air fryer goes under my seat on the left standing in it and facing forwards. I also have all my tools and the bedding, so the Ninja is both the Rolls Royce of air fryers and fits neatly away

They are cheaper to use compared to a home oven, as they are smaller, used sensibly, cooking meats and veg they are great.
Just like a microwave, cooking veg is cheaper than cooking them on a hob in a pan.
i have a Ninja kettle, a Ninja Oven, and two Ninja Air fryers. The kettle allows you to set a temperature, I set it to 90% this saves on power, but also the tea/coffee is not ruined. The oven cooks everything and any meats are left beautifully cooked and moist, and in half the time of any over I have every had. One of my air fryers is a single, used in the caravan, the other is a double and used at home. They again cook just about anything, and also again meats are left lovely and moist. I put a whole medium chicken and about an hour its crispy skin and soft moist meat is a real winner. All the Ninja's cook in half the time so if saving electricity is your thing, you cannot go wrong. Highly recommended.

Our kids and grandkids have air fryers, two being Ninja. They use them a lot in everyday cooking and from the meals we have had with them the food tastes good. They plan to bring their air fryers over to us when the grandkids will be leading on cooking the Christmas lunch. Although the joints will still be oven roasted.

I bet when they leave, you will go out and buy one when you see how good they are. I have had quite a few air fryers, even going back to the glass domes, but these Ninjas are appropriately named, they are without doubt the Rolls Royse of kitchen equipment. I even have a Ninja electric barbecue and smoker, again cant fault it. Have a nice time, i am sure you will with the children coming too, just a bit noisier a

As I said we have had meals with them where their air fryers have been used and the food was tasty. So why after Christmas lunch should we go out and buy one. If we had wanted one we would have just bought one anyway. As far as bbqs are concerned I get on very well with my two Weber charcoal ones and a smaller Cadac. The grandchildren aren’t quite as noisy as they were having passed 20+ and 30+ 😂I bet when they leave, you will go out and buy one when you see how good they are. They use electric so will increase your monthly bill, but not by much and will be worthwhile investment as you can take it home. We have two and both do oven chips to perfection. Chicken is also very nice in a fryer. It has options for air fry, roast, bake, re-heat etc.

As we're vegetarians we have no interest in what they can do for meat cooking but there seem to be plenty of things that we like that we can do - chips for one
While there seems to be much emphasis on energy saving I'm yet to be convinced this will be significant for us. We tend to use our ovens as efficiently as possible.
I've just dug out my energy monitor so that I can have some sort of reference for when we do get one. I'll let you know the results.
