I thought you were not allowed to sell them , as you rented them from Calor. Did you not read THE CONTRACT, The Calor folk will be onto you. 😣😣🙄

I sold the gas, which belongs to me ;)

They just needed something to carry it in.

Calor have this contract thing, which refunds on a decreasing scale. After 5 years they give almost nothing back. Works both ways in my world.

What difference does it make to Calor. The guys that bought them cant get one anywhere else, no new contracts, no lites available. Yet they will still be paying for the same exchanges as I have done. Financially this hasnt cost Calor a penny.

If anyone on the forum had wanted them, I would have GIVEN them away.

Think about this, Calor offered people (was it) £7.50 recently for a returned gas bottle. Then they rent it to folk on a new contract, for £39.99, if they had old cylinders.
If people want their bottle replaced, they are not going to hand it back in and take out a new agreement.
I have two almost full calorlites, , then it might be time for a safefill.

My point exactly. They have fed caravanners a load of bull for years over the shortage, and failed on every ppromise to increase availability. Now Covid is the excusae of the day, but I feel to a large extent they are using it to cover previous promises. Stuff em.

Filled my two Safefills today for the first time. What a doddle. 14 litres in one, 15 in the other, and it cost me £20.09 altogether. Its 70p per litre there, 54p per litre at Morrisons but meeting the guy that does the filling i learned loads from him. He also degasses the bottles so you can fill to 80% immediately.

The total weight of bottles and gas is quite a bit then. Is that in a front gas locker?

No Ern, it will be a side locker. They are far lighter empty than a calor light, but of course hold more gas. The beauty is though you can top up with any amount. No wastage at all.
