Only once used the free club WiFi at Honiton.
Discovered if you use a VPN it doesn't see you and you get premium WiFi.
This may have been blocked in the last 2 years.😒
Probably? You need around 3-4Mb/s for SD (720p), around 6Mb/s for 1080p HD, but if we are talking 4K or UHD (oh yes they do!) you are looking at 25-35Mb/s. A gigabit feed for 1080p would satisfy maybe about 150 users, but only a few dozen at 4K.
For the record you will note that fibre rates are said as one gigabit but when you look at the quoted supply rate it is usually 900Mb/s. This is because 1K is actually 1024 bits/sec, 1M is 1024x1024 bits/s and 1G is 1024x1024x1024 or just under 1074,000,000 bits/sec. 900Mb is just short of 950,000,000 bits/sec leaving some overhead for monitoring systems and seller exaggeration, etc
