Caravan prices

Hello fellow caravanners,
Can anyone tell me if there is a free price's guide to buying caravans, I've been looking to buy a newish one, but want to see the average price of models and don't want to get ripped off.

Welcome to the Forum. Your thread has an identical title to one already running.

There is a trade guide but it’s not easy to obtain being kept by dealerships. I always found that the best way was to search the internet on Autotrader, dealerships websites, Caravan Finder etc. That way you get a spread of prices throughout the country.

As Otherclive has said. But I would add. Don’t be tempted to buy from a distance. Warrentee returns can be a nightmare.

Having said that. Last August I bought my 2021 van from 100 miles away, and the previous owner lived 150 miles away in a different direction. But I had a long look, and long discussion with the previous owners, who volunteered to have it serviced before taking my cash. (Which I would have demanded anyway). Also, it came with extras, and was about £2500 cheaper than a dealer.

I could be wrong but I think the price guide that dealers used was discontinued a year or so ago. Your best way to check is to look on places like Caravanfinder and Autotrader to get an idea of the range of prices for the model you are interested in. You can also compare the differences between private sellers and dealers.

From 1 January 2025 the products GlassNet Caravan and Digital Caravan Guide will no longer be available.

Also from 1 January 2025 the Leisure Vehicle data within the products Market Value Assessor, Market Value Assessor Repair Estimate and GlassNet will no longer be provided.
