CC Round Plantation

Hi there

Went to the above site for a few days and have just got back.

This is a very pleasant woodland site great for walking and if you like quiet. You do get some aircraft noise from Mildenhall air base but not a problem to us. The site is in 15 acres of woodlands 95 pitches some hardstanding, Some eleck hook up, NO toilet block, tv fair, shops half a mile away, The site is volunteer-run Paul one of the volunteer wardens was most helpful and you are made to feel very welcome. A very very pleasant stay.

We use this site very regularly as it is only about 1 hour away from home and is the only Caravan Club site we use - tend to use CL's instead. Set in the woodland of Thetford Forest its a great base to explore the area and close to Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket. It is only

As we have used the Covert CC site on many occasions, I have to disagree with Richard in that he describes it as being awful! It's not awful, just different!! The site was actually an old army camp, hence the the concrete hardstandings, but if you pitch within the woodland where you can put the awning up, it's lovely! It's great for dog walking and there is lots of wildlife on site, don't knock it 'til you've tried it, Richard!! :O)

We were at The Covert for the last bank holiday and loved it, will definately be going again. Should've been going to Round Plantation this weekend but due to a change of car we can no longer go.
