Not sure if this is old news but have just had to cancel a booking in Clumber park and CC website says Clumber Park site is closed as a result of recent storms !
 
I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear/see Clumber Park site closed at the moment. There have been tremendous gales, heavy rain (with serious flooding) and even snow in the past few days in the area. Since the site is in a heavily wood area there may have been some serious uprooting of trees. Lovely area for vanning, but not in the recent weather conditions.
 
The caravan club web site does not say the site is closed,it says the park is closed and you must stick to the clubs directions due to locked gates around the park.

You mint not have been wrong.

A lot of the forests were closed on Friday a round Clumber Park as they were be check by rage's to see if they were safe for people to go in to with the gales.
