It's is Nottinghamshire fairly near to Sherwood Forest.

This weekend will be our second visit in the last month, it's a beautiful quiet site on the edge of the woods.

Fish and Chip van also visits the site on a Friday at 6pm, beware, very large portions though, we really could have shared one between us!

Colin, Clumber may be a little too far for you for a weekend, approx 210miles from bridgend. Its in a wooded secluded area, cc site and the cc&c site is in the old walled gardenwhich is more centralon the park.Transport is required to visit any where off the park, such as Worksop for shopping etc.If you enjoy walking or cycling than there is lots to do on the park. You will probaly find that most weekends a fully booked as its a popular weekend brigade site. Can't vouch for the cc&c site but the cc site is excellent and the usual standards apply.

Brian, as far as I know the C&CC site is no longer in existence.

Clumber is one of our all-time favourites. WE go there once or twice every year. In the middle of woodland, it's really away from it all. Lovely walks, peace and quiet away from the car parks, and great for kids and dogs!
