Correct Noseweight - Advice Please !

When i bought our last van in 1997, the Avondale brochure gave the ex works nose weight of all the range.

Mine an end kitchen 13 foot long, had a nose weight of 35kg.

While it was ok to tow at this i preferr more nose weight, so we took along some ballast.

So yes it is usfull to have ex works nose weight.

I would very much question any data which quotes the same ex-works noseweight across the range of all models, even if the manufacturer has stated so in the brochure. It is very unlikely to be 35kg for all models. Even if it were, what does it tell you? As Ray says, he still needed ballast to get the noseweight to what he wanted and it would be safe to assume that this will always be the case, regardless of any figures in brochures, etc.

Sorry, I misunderstood your post, but I still think one would need to confirm for one's self whether the published data actually applies to one's own caravan.
